Dr. Kaniecki focuses his presentation on pre-migraine phase and breaks down some of the categories that migraine pain falls into.

Educational objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Improve diagnostic skills by more rapidly recognizing migraine in the patient with closed head injury
  • Advance understanding of basic pathophysiologic elements of migraine prodrome, aura, and headache
  • Increase successful patient outcomes through early initiation of migraine prevention and acute headache treatments in the patient with head injury
