Management of Spastic Hypertonia: Current Concepts

This course by UPMC's Dr. Michael Munin addresses the presentation and pathophysiology of patients with spastic hypertonia.

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the pathophysiology of spastic hypertonia, including listing at least three potential etiologies of the condition.
  • Recognize the presence of spastic hypertonia based on clinical presentation of the patient.
  • Design and implement an appropriate individualized management/treatment plan for patients with spastic hypertonia.
