In this issue, specialists from the UPMC department of orthopaedic surgery discuss High-Resolution Ultrasound, Bundled Payment for Total Joint Arthroplasty: The Multifaceted Response of UPMC, and A “Lean and Green” Approach to Hand Surgery.

Educational objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate the role of ultra sound imaging as a clinical evaluation tool for meniscus injury
  • Examine the nature of the anterolateral complex of the knee and its role in knee biomechanics and stability.
  • Discuss the hoop tension mechanism of the meniscus and its relationship to osteoarthritis in the presence of meniscus injury
