Ahmad Tarhini, MD
Dr. Tarhini is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology, specializing in melanoma and cancers of the respiratory system. He has received multiple awards including the AMGEN Fellowship Award and ASCO Foundation Merit Award. In addition, he received the “Golden Apple Award”, as a medical resident, selected by medical students, for providing “the best teaching, exemplifying professionalism, good judgment, good moral & ethical character and going above and beyond to make their experience a memorable one.” Dr. Tarhini has made multiple publications and presentations at prestigious national meetings including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual meetings and the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR).
Dr. Tarhini received a bachelor of science in biology from the American University of Beirut and his medical degree from Kaunas University of Medicine. His residency training (in Internal Medicine) and fellowship training (in Hematology and Oncology) were both completed at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He also received a Master of Science in Clinical Research from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
