Dr. Givelber received her M.D. in 1990 from the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was elected to AOA.  She trained in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Boston University.  During her fellowship she completed additional coursework in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.  She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine.  She is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine, and serves as the associate director of the pulmonary fellowship, and the director of the Evidence-Based Residency Curriculum for the internal medicine residency program.
