Dr. Lawrence Wechsler gives a presentation on Cerebrovascular disease, which is the 5th leading cause of death. Strokes are the leading cause of disability in adults.

Educational objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Improve clinical decision making and knowledge related to anti platelet use after ischemic stroke or high risk TIA
  • Demonstrate knowledge of patient selection for mechanical thrombectomy in large vessel occlusion
  • Apply knowledge of time sensitivity in IV tPA initiation to improve clinical outcomes after ischemic stroke
