Bio
After receiving his B.A. in Biology at Williams College in 2006, Dr. Barbash spent the next four years in pursuit of his M.D. at Harvard Medical School, where he completed the requirements for his degree in 2010. Dr. Barbash remained in the Boston area for his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was recognized for his excellence in clinical teaching with a Harvard Medical School Teaching Award in 2012 and a Senior Resident Teaching Award in 2013. After completing his intensive inpatient clinical training, Dr. Barbash is now working with Dr. Jeremy Kahn conducting health services research in critical care outcomes. Dr. Barbash is interested in the impact of health policy and the health system structure on processes and outcomes of care for acutely ill patients. Outside of his clinical and research interests, he enjoys spending time cooking and exploring Pittsburgh with his wife and son.
