Jodi Maranchie, MD, Elected Incoming President of NSAUA

MaranchieThe UPMC Department of Urology congratulates Jodi Maranchie, MD, associate professor of urology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, on being elected as the incoming first American female president of the ⁦Northeastern Section of the American Urological Association, Inc. (NSAUA).

In her new position, she will aid the organization in their vision of "standing at the forefront of education and research promoting excellence in the specialty of urology serving both its members and the public." 

Dr. Maranchie is a surgical oncologist specializing in urologic cancers of the urinary tract and male genitalia. She completed her urology residency at Harvard University in 1999, followed by a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the National Cancer Institute.

Her practice is focused on the care of patients with cancer of the kidney, bladder and testis, employing minimally invasive approaches, nephron-sparing and nerve-sparing surgery and urinary tract reconstruction. She has specialty expertise in familial or inherited cancer syndromes, offering targeted surveillance with organ-preserving surgery when indicated.
