Dr. Nowalk is is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases. He earned his medical and doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He then completed his pediatric residency, chief residency, and an infectious disease fellowship at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh before joining the faculty of the School of Medicine.
