Dr. Louis Rapkin gives a presentation on cancer incidence in kids and young adults. Dr. Rapkin also covers trends in cancer treatments and unique issues.

Educational objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Explain three cancers that are more common in the adolescent population than the pediatric population
  • Explain major obstacles for AYA patients to receive care at research institutions via research protocols
  • Explain basic differences between AYA and pediatric cancers
