In this review UPMC's Fatty Liver Disease program and the Living-Donor partnerships are explained. We conclude with a patient story of an uncommon manifestation of Cystic Fibrosis.
Educational objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Improve recognition and management of pancreatic cystosis
- Identify abdominal manifestations of neurofibromatosis type 1, including radiographic findings suggestive of neurofibromas
- Incorporate strategies for weight and lifestyle management in the care of patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
- Increase awareness of the burden of alcoholic liver disease and recognize risk factors for substance abuse relapse and the need for a multidisciplinary approach to care
