Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Justify the need to include patient values and preferences in formulation of treatment plans
- Outline ways to reduce hospital-acquired functional decline through increased focus on patient exercise
- Identify ways to improve patient safety in older adults hospitalized for non-cardiac conditions by avoiding unnecessary anti-hypertensive medication adjustments during the acute-care stay
- Apply clinical practice recommendations to improve the diagnosis and treatment of uncomplicated cystitis in frail older adults
