In this presentation, David Kaczorowski, MD, discusses the advantages of minimally invasive insertion of mechanical circulatory support devices for patients with left ventricle failure.

  • Recognize the potential benefits of both durable and temporary left ventricular assist devices
  • Identify potential advantages of minimally invasive insertion of LVADs at the time of implantation
  • Recall how minimally invasive LVADs can be used to bridge patients to transplantation
