Educational Objectives 

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  • Explain that the intestinal microbiome is implicated in the development of response to anti-PD-1 immunotherapy
  • Explain that the intestinal microbiome is implicated in the development of immune-related adverse events (irAEs) to anti-PD-1 immunotherapy
  • Describe that the use of antibiotics and proton pump inhibitors adversely affect responses to anti-PD-1 immunotherapy by impacting the microbiome
