CME: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the Pennsylvania Geriatrics Society – Western Division. The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 21.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. (The 21.5 includes the 1.5 hour dinner symposium on Thursday.) Thursday = 8.25; Dinner =1.5; Friday = 8; Saturday = 3.75.
AAFP: Application for CME credit has been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending.
Nursing: UPMC Provider Unit is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Social Work Credits: This program is offered for 21.5 hours of Social Work continuing education through co-sponsorship of the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, a Council of Social Work Education accredited school and, therefore, a Pennsylvania pre-approved provider of social work continuing education. These credit hours satisfy the requirements for LSW/LCSW, LPC and LMFT biennial license renewal. For more information on social work continuing education call (412) 624-3711. The maximum amount of continuing education credit that can be granted for this program is 19.5 contact hours. Participants must complete the course outcomes assessment, evaluation and credit designation form to receive credit. Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) credits will be uploaded using the participant’s National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) eMonitor number. (The 19.5 hours includes the 1.5 hour dinner symposium)
Early registrations will be accepted at a reduced rate through Thursday, March 21, 2019. After March 21, 2019, the registration fee will increase and will be accepted through Sunday, April 21, 2019. Once the online registration system is closed, onsite registrations will be accepted at an additional cost only if space is available.
