The Hip Preservation Program at UPMC Orthopaedic Care invites you to attend the 9th Annual Hip Preservation Program Conference on the topic of The Hypermobile Hip: Biomechanics, Diagnosis, and Treatment Decision-Making. The conference will be held virtually on May 16 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Who Should Attend

This course is intended for physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, and athletic trainers.

Learning Objectives for Participants

  • Knowledge of a clinical psychical exam of the hip.
  • Knowledge of radiographic and ultrasound diagnostics for the hip.
  • Knowledge of hip biomechanics.
  • Understanding musculoskeletal hypermobility conditions and diagnosis processes.
  • Understanding of the psychological factors of chronic hip pain and hypermobility.
  • Understanding exercise rehabilitation strategies for hypermobility conditions

Continuing Medical Education

The University of Pittsburgh designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit[s]™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Other health care professionals will receive a certificate of attendance confirming the number of contact hours commensurate with the extent of participation in this activity.
