Breast Cancer Care Essentials: A Multidisciplinary Approach

October 9, 2026

Program Goal

This presentation is intended to help attendees better understand the unique contributions of each discipline involved in the care of patients diagnosed with breast cancer. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to describe the roles and responsibilities of key multidisciplinary team members involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and supportive care of patients with breast cancer and apply evidence-based principles of multidisciplinary care to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate current standards of breast cancer management. Participants will be able to incorporate shared decision-making and patient preferences into multidisciplinary treatment planning to improve patient engagement, satisfaction, and quality of care and recognize opportunities for early integration of supportive care services to address the comprehensive needs of patients with breast cancer.
