According to the National Institute for Injury Prevention and Control, approximately 1.4 million people sustain a brain injury every year. It is estimated that nearly 5.3 million of the United States population needs assistance and/or lifelong care due to a brain injury.
Join us for Current Concepts in Brain Injury Rehabilitation to learn about the treatments and strategies used at the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute to treat individuals living with a traumatic brain injury.
This course is intended for nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, social workers, nurses, nurse practitioners, psychologists, physiatrists/physicians, and others involved with the acute care and rehabilitation of individuals with brain injury.
CME, CNE, AAPA, ASWB, APA, ASHA, PT, and OT education credits available.
The University of Pittsburgh designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit[s]™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Other health care professionals will receive a certificate of attendance confirming the number of contact hours commensurate with the extent of participation in this activity.
The registration fee for this event is $75, which includes continuing medical education credit. The deadline for registration is October 28. If participating virtually, a link will be sent via email upon registration.
