6th Annual Advanced Transradial and Complex Cardiac Care Interventions Symposium

Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, the UPMC 6th Annual Advanced Transradial and Complex Cardiac Care Interventions Symposium will be held virtually on February 20, 2021. If you have any questions, please contact Brenda Smith at smithb2@upmc.edu.

This one-day CME event will feature a wide range of topics on the transradial approach to cardiac catheterization/PCI, case-based discussions, and videos presented by the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute faculty. Internationally recognized guest lecturers will be featured. 

Topics Include:

  • Discussion of trends, technical aspects, benefits and radiation safety in Transradial approach for catheterization.
  • Cardiogenic Shock and the benefits of hemodynamic support and Shock Team approach.  
  • Discussion of patient selection, technical aspects, avoidance of complications, and economic issues. 

Panel discussions and audience participation will also be included. 

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for cardiologists (both invasive and non-invasive), cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, cardiac cath lab technologists and other interested health care professionals.
