2022 Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology Accomplishments

The Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology would like to share a few of the many great accomplishments in 2022 from their dedicated faculty and staff. The Division is incredibly proud of the work that happens each day, driven by bold, talented, and dedicated individuals and teams who search for answers to complex medical and scientific questions that can uncover better ways to care for our patients and the patients of tomorrow.
The Division congratulates Division Chief, Dana Ascherman, MD, who was named the 2022 recipient of the Margaret Jane Miller Endowed Professorship for Arthritis Research. Learn more about Dr. Ascherman's accomplishment.
The Division also congratulates Sarah Gaffen, PhD, on being named to the 2021 class of American Association for the Advancement of Science fellows. Dr. Gaffen, the Gerald P. Rodnan Endowed Professor in the Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology, is one of four University of Pittsburgh faculty members to receive this honor.
