UPMC Children’s Heart/Lung Transplant Coordinator Receives 2022 Enduring Hearts Organization “Heart and Soul” Transplant Coordinator Award

January 27, 2023

The Heart Institute at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh congratulates transplant coordinator Allison Moninger, RN, BSN, CCTC, for receiving the 2022 Enduring Hearts “Heart and Soul” Transplant Coordinator Award.

Enduring Hearts is the only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to pediatric heart transplant research that helps kids with heart transplants live better and healthier lives. The Heart and Soul Transplant Coordinator Award, given annually to one transplant coordinator in the U.S. celebrates the invaluable role that pediatric heart transplant coordinators have in coaching those going through the transplantation journey. The award provides families and colleagues with the opportunity to nominate and acknowledge the many unsung heroes that play such a critical role in a child’s heart transplant team.

Allison will be recognized formally at Enduring Hearts' 2023 Bourbon Gala and Auction.
