This annual accolade recognizes mid- to late-career surgical educators who have demonstrated unwavering commitment to excellence in resident education throughout their careers. Dr. Yoon is a clinical surgeon with expertise in complex coronary surgery. Under his leadership, both UPMC Presbyterian and UPMC Passavant have achieved a three-star rating for coronary artery bypass surgery by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
