New Cardiologists Join the UPMC Heart and Vascular Team in North Central Pa.

The UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in North Central Pa. continues to expand, with the recent addition of three cardiologists. Please join us in welcoming Jeffery A. Gilbert, DO, David L. Ambrose, DO, and Thomas D. Scott, DO.

GilbertDr. Gilbert received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He comes to UPMC after practicing noninvasive cardiology with Geisinger Medical Center and now practices in Mansfield and Wellsboro.

 

AmbroseDr. Ambrose completed his medical degree, internship, and residency in osteopathic medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also completed a fellowship in noninvasive cardiology with Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, N.J. Most recently, Dr. Ambrose practiced noninvasive cardiology with Geisinger. He now sees patients in Williamsport and Lock Haven.

 

ScottDr. Scott also completed his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an internship with Geisinger Medical Center, as well as his residency and two fellowships – one in cardiovascular disease and the other in interventional cardiology. Dr. Scott joins UPMC after working at Geisinger as the director of cardiac catheterization laboratories and the interventional cardiology fellowship program. He specializes in structural heart care, with a focus on performing TAVRs, and sees patients in Williamsport and Lewisburg.
