The Heart Institute at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Expanding Pediatric Cardiology Services in the North Hills

Image of the new location.The Heart Institute at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is pleased to announce that pediatric cardiology services have become more accessible for patients in the North Hills. Children’s Pine Center in Wexford, Pa. will now be home to a range of specialty cardiology services under one roof. These include:

  • Fetal cardiology
  • Adult congenital heart disease (ACHD)
  • Heart failure
  • Preventative electrophysiology
  • General pediatric cardiology

“The Heart Institute is committed to serving patients across the region by expanding access to pediatric cardiology services,” says Victor Morell, MD, co-director of the Heart Institute. “The expansion of this pediatric cardiology hub helps reduce travel for patients and their families and brings our team’s expertise right to the North Hills community.”

Beginning April 1, 2026, patients can see providers from a range of pediatric cardiology specialties at Pine Center, located at 11279 Perry Hwy, Suite 105, Wexford, PA 15090.

“If you are treating a patient with congenital heart disease or an expecting parent who is navigating a fetal diagnosis, we encourage you to contact our team,” says Jacqueline Kreutzer, MD, co-director of the Heart Institute. “We will work with you to develop a treatment plan for your patient and provide them with access to a range of support services throughout the entire congenital heart disease journey.”
