Ruba Al-Ramadhani, MD, Receives American Academy of Neurology A.B. Baker Teacher Recognition Award

Ruba Al-Ramadhani, MD, assistant professor of pediatrics in the Division of Child Neurology at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh will receive the 2026 A.B. Baker Teacher Recognition Award from the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) at the 2026 AAN Annual Meeting in Chicago, April 18 to 22.

Dr. Al-Ramadhani is associate director of the UPMC Children’s Pediatric Epilepsy Surgery Program and program director of the Child Neurology Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

“I am deeply honored to receive this recognition, but the credit belongs to my trainees. Every resident and fellow has pushed me to be a better teacher, a better clinician, and a better advocate for children with epilepsy. I am grateful to be part of a field where teaching and patient care are so inseparable.,” Dr. Al-Ramadhani says.

Dr. Al-Ramadhani will be recognized during the A.B. Baker Award for Lifetime Achievement in Neurology Education Keynote Address on April 20 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
