Shivdev Rao, MD, recognized by TIME100 Health 2025

Shivdev Rao, MD, was recently featured in TIME100 Health 2025, a list compiled by TIME of the world’s most influential people in health.

Dr. Rao founded Abridge, a UPMC Enterprises portfolio company, and an AI platform that converts doctors' conversations with their patients into clinical notes that are imported directly into their health records. The process gives providers more time to focus on their patients by reducing the amount of paperwork they need to do. Abridge is used by more than 100 health systems nationwide.

A cardiologist with the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute, Dr. Rao is affiliated with UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital and UPMC Presbyterian.
