Neurology Faculty Rising Star: Jenny Linnoila, MD, PhD

LinnoilaThe Department of Neurology is proud to have Jenny Linnoila, MD, PhD, as an assistant professor of Neurology within the University of Pittsburgh and faculty member across UPMC hospitals. As a clinician-scientist practicing in the field of autoimmune neurology, Dr. Linnoila has a clinical focus in autoimmune neurology in addition to a research focus in autoimmune encephalitis.

She completed her medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, followed by a residency at Massachusetts General Brigham. She then completed a fellowship in Autoimmune Neurology at Mayo Clinic.

Currently, Dr. Linnoila serves as a key faculty member in the Multiple Sclerosis Care Center within the Department of Neurology at Pitt and is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Neurological Association. She also shares her clinical and research expertise by teaching and advising undergraduates, medical and graduate students, neurology residents, fellows, and staff.

Dr. Linnoila has served nationally as an abstract reviewer, moderator, and speaker in autoimmune neurology for American Academy of Neurology annual meetings. She has also been part of the Autoimmune Task Force for the International League Against Epilepsy.
