Awards/Recognition

Shohei Yamauchi receiving ESSKA award
  • Justin Arner, MD, was celebrated as the ESSKA-AOSSM traveling fellow.
  • Shohei Yamauchi, MD, PhD, was awarded the ESSKA Basic Scientist Abstract Award.

Sessions/Courses

Ting Cong, MD

  • Utilization of a lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) indication score may decrease revision ACLR and minimize unneeded LETs

Camila Grandberg, MD

  • Physical therapy, corticosteroid injections, and ultrasound-guided barbotage demonstrate similar outcomes for nonoperative and operative management of calcific tendinitis
  • Self-removal of sling following reverse shoulder arthroplasty results in no difference in outcomes and complications rates: short-term results of a prospective, single-blinded, randomized controlled trial
  • Comparable long-term survival and outcomes after medial meniscus posterior root repair in patients with low- vs high-grade chondral changes

Jonathan Hughes, MD

  • Dr. Hughes was showcased during a surgical tips and tricks session.
  • He was also part of the KSSTA/JEO reviewer course faculty.

Emily Lau, MD

  • Bariatric surgery is associated with surgical failure and inferior outcomes after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair compared to a matched cohort

Volker Musahl, MD

  • My Perfect ACLR with Quadriceps Tendon
  • Conclusions and future perspectives on international consensus projects
  • My Perfect SB Quad PCL Reconstruction

Shohei Yamauchi, MD, PhD

  • Trade-Off between isometry and elongation in lateral extra-articular tenodesis: in vivo 3D kinematic analysis of femoral fixation points

Posters

Ting Cong, MD

  • Surgical and anatomical factors influence femoral tunnel position during anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction
  • Video-assisted orthopaedic education improves resident ankle fracture reduction: a prospective study
  • Quadriceps tendon autograft diameter is associated with subsequent surgery for knee stiffness, but not revision surgery, after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction
  • Patient-reported outcomes decline over time following arthroscopic bankart repair for anterior shoulder instability
  • Long-term outcomes after arthroscopic bankart repair for on-track Hill-Sachs lesions at mean 10 year follow-up
  • Influence of chronicity, number, and type of anterior shoulder instability events on Hill-Sachs lesion size: a morphometric analysis of 255 patients

Sahil Dadoo, MD

  • Quadriceps tendon autograft diameter is associated with subsequent surgery for knee stiffness, but not revision surgery, after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction
  • Influence of chronicity, number, and type of anterior shoulder instability events on Hill-Sachs lesion size: a morphometric analysis of 255 patients

Camila Grandberg, MD

  • Similar outcomes of rotator cuff repair before and during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Low reliability found between motion capture sensors and standard goniometry: a cross-sectional analysis
