Managing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease requires a comprehensive team approach. At UPMC, our team of heart care experts are dedicated to offering personalized care and treatment options to patients diagnosed with a range of heart conditions.

We are pleased to announce that our team in Southwest Pa. and Northwest Pa. is expanding to include the below experts who share this same dedication to patient-centered care.


Mohamed Abdullah, MD

Cardiac Surgery

Dr. Mohamed Abdullah is a highly skilled cardiac surgeon with over a decade of expertise in advanced surgical techniques. His clinical focus spans cardiothoracic transplantation, aortic surgery, and robotic cardiac surgery. Dr. Abdullah received his medical degree from Cairo University Kasr Alainy School of Medicine and completed residencies at Cairo University Kasr Alainy School of Medicine and Mount Sinai Beth Israel, followed by a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Suveen Angraal, MD

Cardiology

Suveen Angraal, MD, specializes in cardiology and is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Angraal completed his fellowship at Yale School of Medicine, residencies at the University of Missouri Kansas City and All India Institute of Medical Sciences and medical degree at All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr. Angraal joins a robust team of cardiologists at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute and will continue to fulfill the team’s mission of enhancing patient care.

Gregory Steiner, MD

Vascular Surgery

Gregory P. Steiner, MD, brings his extensive experience in vascular surgery to the team, including expertise in Arterial Insufficiency, Peripheral Artery Disease, Carotid Artery Disease, Arterial Embolism, and Carotid Artery Surgery. Dr. Steiner specializes in vascular surgery and is board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Steiner completed his fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, residency at MedStar Health Franklin Square Medical Center and medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine.

Dr. Steiner sees patients at UPMC Mercy.
