UPMC is expanding pediatric cardiology services in Central Pa. with the addition of a new pediatric cardiology clinic at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute at Newport. The clinic offers expert evaluation, diagnostic testing, and ongoing management of congenital and acquired heart disease to patients and referring providers throughout surrounding communities.
Staffed by board-certified pediatric cardiologists Shaji Menon, MD, and Adam Seitz, MD the clinic provides comprehensive cardiovascular care for infants, children, and adolescents. Through their affiliation with UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, patients have access to a nationally recognized pediatric cardiology program while receiving consultations and follow-up care close to home.

The Newport clinic provides evaluation and management of a broad range of pediatric cardiovascular conditions, including congenital heart defects, heart murmurs, arrhythmias, cardiomyopathies, syncope, chest pain, hypertension, and inherited cardiac disorders. The program also offers specialized evaluation and management through a hypertrophic cardiomyopathy clinic.

In addition to diagnostic and treatment services, the pediatric cardiology team works closely with maternal-fetal medicine and other pediatric specialists to coordinate care. This multidisciplinary approach supports seamless management from prenatal diagnosis through childhood, and, when needed, transition to adult congenital heart disease care.
