Juhi Kumar, MD, MPH, associate professor of Pediatrics, clinical director of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology, and medical director of the Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program Nephrology at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, has been elected to the Pediatric Community of Practice (PCOP) Executive Committee of the American Society of Transplantation (AST).

Dr. Kumar will serve as Member-at-Large beginning August 4, 2025, following the AST Town Hall at the World Transplant Congress.

The PCOP Executive Committee provides leadership and strategic guidance for pediatric transplant professionals within AST, working to advance clinical care, research, and advocacy on behalf of children receiving organ transplants.

Dr. Kumar’s election to this national leadership role reflects her dedication to improving pediatric kidney transplant outcomes through both clinical innovation and professional collaboration.
