Urologist Amit Bhattu, MD, Speaks at World Congress of Endourology and Uro‑Technology 2025

Image of Amit Bhattu, MD.In September, Amit Bhattu, MD, clinical assistant professor of Urology, presented a talk and moderated a session at the World Congress of Endourology and Uro‑Technology 2025, held September 8 to 12 in Phoenix, Ariz. On September 8, Dr. Bhattu delivered a presentation on “Giant Hydronephrosis with Small Extra Renal Pelvis.” Later that morning, he moderated a session on robotic surgery.

Dr. Bhattu is a urologist who sees patients in Altoona, Pa. He earned his medical degree from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College in Mumbai, India. Dr. Bhattu completed residencies in urology at Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital in Nadiad, India, and general surgery at Grant Medical College and Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals in Mumbai, India. He also completed fellowships in urologic oncology, robotic-assisted urology, and laparoscopic urology at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Dr. Bhattu specializes in urologic oncology and robotic-assisted surgery for prostate, kidney, ureteric, and bladder cancer. He also specializes in endourological minimally invasive management of urinary stone disease. His research interests include urologic oncology, robotic surgery, urinary stone disease, minimally invasive management of difficult stones, and kidney transplantation. Dr. Bhattu has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for seven scientific journals in the field of urology. He is a member of the American Urologic Association and Endourology Society.
