UPMC Children’s Pediatric Nephrology Faculty Presenting at American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week 2025

Several faculty members from the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Division of Pediatric Nephrology will be speaking and presenting research at the American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week 2025, which will be held Nov. 6 to 9, 2025 in Houston, Texas.

Jacqueline Ho, MD, MS, chief of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at UPMC Children’s will give a presentation on Nov. 8, 2025, at 2 p.m. during the Translational Session on Prenatal and Postnatal Effects on the Kidneys: Mechanisms and Innovative Therapies.

Takuto Chiba, PhD, research assistant professor of pediatrics, and Akira Oda, MD, PhD, visiting scholar in the Chiba Lab, will be presenting a poster on “Loss of Renal Pericyte Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 2 (VEGF-R2) Protects Against AKI-to-CKD Transition” during the CKD: Mechanism, AKI, and Beyond – 1 poster session from 10 a.m. to noon on Nov. 6, 2025.
