UPMC Physicians and Researchers Present at American Diabetes Association’s 78th Scientific Sessions

The American Diabetes Association’s 78th Scientific Sessions (ADA) will be held June 22-26 in Orlando, FL.

This annual meeting gathers nearly 13,000 physicians, scientists, and health care professionals from around the world. The conference is an opportunity for professionals to discuss cutting-edge research, treatment recommendations, and advances toward a cure for diabetes. UPMC physicians and researchers will be represented with presentations, poster sessions, awards, and abstracts.

The Young Investigator Travel Grant Award recipient is Heba M. Ismail, MB, BCh, MSc, PhD. Dr. Ismail is the clinical director of the Diabetes Center at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. She is also an assistant professor of pediatrics, pediatric endocrinology, metabolism and diabetes mellitus at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
