Profile:

Amanda Harrington, MD, is an assistant professor and program director of the ACGME-accredited Spinal Cord Injury Medicine Fellowship at UPMC. She also is the director of Spinal Cord Injury Services at the UPMC Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Harrington manages the inpatient rehabilitation service for persons with spinal cord injury, debility from multiple sclerosis, and other neurologic diseases. She participates in a consultation practice at UPMC Mercy and UPMC Presbyterian hospitals. In her outpatient clinic at UPMC Mercy she manages patients with spinal cord injury and spasticity. Dr. Harrington has served on the electronic communications committee of the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals and was an item writer for the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation spinal cord injury exam.

Dr. Harrington earned her medical degree from the University of Miami. She then completed her physical medicine and rehabilitation residence at the Carolinas Medical Center followed by a fellowship in spinal cord injury medicine at Case Western Reserve University.
