Dr. Amer H. Zureikat received his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland and completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center, followed by his fellowship in surgical oncology at UPMC. He is board-certified in surgery and specializes in cancers and diseases of the pancreas, stomach, liver, and duodenum, and practices state-of-the-art robotic surgery.
In addition to Dr. Zureikat’s extensive surgical experience, he has authored or co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and more than 20 book chapters/reviews focusing on outcomes of GI cancers, and robotic and minimally invasive pancreatic surgery. He is a member of the Society of University Surgeons (SUS), Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), and the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA). He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), serves on various societal committees, and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Surgical Oncology and the Journal of Surgical Research. Dr. Zureikat is also the principal investigator on several clinical trials at the University of Pittsburgh and has trained and mentored surgeons nationally and internationally in robotic surgery.
