Dr. Douaihy studied medicine at Universite' St. Joseph, Hotel Dieu de France, Beirut, School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University. Dr. Douaihy is professor of psychiatry and medicine in the University of Pittsburgh Department of Psychiatry. His clinical interests include addiction, psychology of behavior change, and HIV and AIDS.

Dr. Douaihy’s additional appointments include senior academic director, addiction medicine services co-director, UPMC Tobacco Treatment Service associate director, and Office of Residency Training director.
