Aryan Aiyer, MD, is a cardiologist and is certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed both an internal medicine residency and a cardiology fellowship at UPMC.

Dr. Aiyer joined the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute in 2005. His clinical interests focus on preventive cardiology. This includes individualized assessment of cardiovascular risk, evaluation and treatment of inherited lipid issues such as familial hypercholesterolemia, and management of complex lipid disorders. Dr. Aiyer is a member of the American College of Cardiology. He is active in clinical research with numerous peer-reviewed publications.
