Profile:

Edward G. Andrews, MD, began his residency with the University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurosurgery in July of 2016. Dr. Andrews attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude in 2009 with a degree in neuroscience and ancient Egyptian studies. He subsequently earned his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in 2016, graduating magna cum laude.

During his medical school career, he directed the Future Docs High School Program, a pipeline program aimed at exposing underrepresented minority high school juniors and seniors to different career choices in healthcare fields. He also organized and participated in the primary tutoring services on campus, helping medical students struggling with course material and clinical rotations.
