Dr. Evan Adelstein has been an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh in the Electrophysiology Division of the Heart and Vascular Institute since 2007. He graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1999 and trained in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  From there, he came to Pittsburgh for both his Cardiovascular Diseases fellowship and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship.  After training, he joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh.  He provides clinical services at UPMC-Presbyterian and UPMC-Passavant, which include implanting and following patients with implanted cardiac devices and treating various cardiac arrhythmias.  In addition to clinical work, Dr. Adelstein also has research interests in the areas of cardiac resynchronization therapy, atrial fibrillation, and pacemaker-mediated cardiomyopathy.
