Gary S. Gruen, MD is a professor of orthopaedic surgery in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Gruen earned his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed residencies at both the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the Hahnemann/Drexel University College followed by an orthopaedic surgery fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Dr. Gruen’s surgical practice deals mainly with foot and ankle surgery, orthopaedic trauma, and upper and lower extremity sports medicine.
