Profile:

Dr. Chang is an Assistant Professor within the University of Pittsburgh Department of Emergency Medicine.  He currently serves as the Associate Chief of Emergency Services at Magee Women's Hospital of UPMC.  He has a primary role in the educational mission of the residency focusing on developing skills in decision-making, multitasking, and clinical knowledge through simulation.  He currently co-manages an advanced simulation curriculum for the emergency residency through the WISER simulation center.  Dr. Chang also manages a novel simulation curriculum staged entirely within the emergency department and evalutaes skill sets not commonly utilized in a traditional simulation laboratory.  He has an academic appointment through the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he is an active faculty member for medical students.  Throughout the year he serves a role as a clinical instructor, small group facilitator, and a course director.  Dr. Chang also serves as one of the members of the Admissions Committee for the medical school.
