Liza C. Villaruz, MD, is board-certified in medical oncology and hematology at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, and she specializes in lung cancer and thoracic malignancies.

Dr. Villaruz is board-certified in internal medicine. She received an undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Ind. and a medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Villaruz completed a residency in internal medicine at UPMC and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Dr. Villaruz is a member of professional organizations, including American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
