Dr. Michael Steketee is an assistant professor of ophthalmology, UPMC Eye Center and the Fox Center for Vision Restoration.

Dr. Michael Steketee is an assistant professor of ophthalmology, UPMC Eye Center and the Fox Center for Vision Restoration.  He earned his PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, and most recently completed a Post Doc at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology, University of Miami, studying under Jeffrey L. Goldberg, MD, PhD.

Dr. Steketee’s research focus is on central nervous system regeneration, tissue engineering, and optic nerve regeneration.  He is a member of the Society for Neuroscience and the American Heart Association.
