She completed her internship and residency at Duke University Medical Center, and her rheumatology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. She subsequently finished a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Pittsburgh. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

Dr. Domsic's primary clinical and research focus is improving the care of the patient with Scleroderma. She is working to develop clinical risk predictions tools for use in scleroderma patient care and risk stratification for the development of clinical trials. She has additional work investigating early vascular changes in scleroderma patients and how this relates to later complications.
