In this issue of Ortho Restore: Spring 2019, it is discussed that Sport-related concussion (SRC) is a major health concern, affecting up to 1.9 million children and adolescents in the United States alone. Approximately 20 percent of adolescents report at least one concussion in their lifetime, and concussions comprise 13 to 19 percent of all sports injuries for high school and collegiate athletes.
Educational objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the relevant radiographic images to acquire in the diagnosis of patients with mild or borderline hip dysplasia
- Identify patient outomes in concussion management
- Explain diagnoses of VTE after lower extremity orthopaedic surgery
