In this free online CME, Max Hurwitz, DO, and Isaiah Levy, MD, discuss ways to improve screening for complications related to upper extremity prosthesis rehabilitation and how to implement appropriate treatment regimens related to complications secondary to prosthesis rehabilitation and phantom/residual limb pain.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify phases of upper extremity prosthesis rehabilitation
  • Implement key details in history taking and physical exams that are necessary to evaluate candidacy for prosthesis use
  • Identify components of upper extremity prosthesis that are important for a complete prosthesis prescription
  • Explain screening for complications related to upper extremity prosthesis rehabilitation such as overuse injuries, phantom/residual limb pain
  • Implement appropriate treatment regimens related to complications secondary to prosthesis rehabilitation
