In this CME, Elena Morariu, MD, discusses the skills to test, diagnose, and monitor thyroid disorders.

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Implement skills in thyroid function testing interpretation and thus in diagnosis of thyrotoxicosis and hypothyroidism
  • Implement diagnostic skills for differentiating between etiologies of thyrotoxicosis
  • Recognize pitfalls in interpretation of thyroid function testing abnormalities in order to make correct diagnosis
  • Follow recommended guidelines for monitoring of thyroid disorders
