Pediatric INSIGHTS Webinar Series: Gender-Affirming Care in the Primary Care Setting

Join experts at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for free monthly lunchtime virtual webinars that cover a wide range of topics for physicians interested in pediatric medicine. In addition to gaining helpful knowledge and resources to improve your practice, the live webinars are eligible for CME credit.
On Wednesday, May 15, Gerald Montano, DO, MS, of the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, will present about gender-affirming care in the primary care setting. Specifically, Dr. Montano will provide basic tools primary care clinician need to effectively work with transgender and gender non-binary youth and their families. Attendees will learn about the complexity of gender identity and expression, appreciate the vulnerabilities these populations face, and develop the tools to make their clinic a friendly and welcoming place.
