On June 27, 2026, pulmonology and lung transplant experts from UPMC hosted an in-person CME-accredited event to provide education and updates on the latest approaches in pulmonary medicine. Throughout the event, participants received the tools to integrate advances in pulmonary disease phenotyping, diagnostics, and longitudinal management — including COPD, pulmonary hypertension, thromboembolic disease and short telomere syndromes — to inform risk stratification, optimize referral timing, and improve candidate selection and outcomes in lung transplantation.
